About Inkosi Africa Safaris

Welcome to the team at Inkosi Africa Tours and Safaris.

Richard Dixon

Richard Dixon.

Richard is passionate about the bush and conservation. He is a qualified National Tourist guide and qualified Field Guide with over 15 years experience. He has a Masters degree in Commerce and is also a qualified IATA Travel Agent. His interests include wild life photography, ornithology and African anthropology, focussing on the old testament roots of African culture.

He has traveled the length of Africa twice and walked or driven through practically all the major game parks in Africa from Serengetti and Ngorongoro to Chobe, the Okavongo to Kruger, Addo and Hluhluwe.

Jane Kelley

Jane is a transplant to South Africa from the US who has been bitten by the “Africa bug”. After traveling and living in many countries, Jane has made South Africa her home. She has a PhD in Anthropology (physical, cultural, and linguistic), a Master of Science in Nursing, with many years of teaching. She hopes that she can transmit her fascination with Africa’s animals and people to everyone she meets.

Minette

Minette Roux

Minette is a qualified guide who has lived and has traveled aboard for over six years - but the call of Africa was too strong. She’s now come home. Her special interests are photography and deep sea diving. She likes to explore new places adding spice to an already exciting life.

She’s terrible with admin and hates being in the office – which is why we hardly ever see her…!

ivan

Ivan Hague

Ivan handles a Social Development project with Inkosi Africa (see Eco-Tourism). He is experienced in economic development and environmental economics and has a degree in Education specialising in special needs.

Many world class solutions have been developed from the practical side of working in social development while working alongside us over the past 10 years. Ask him how you can get involved. Ivan loves sailing - but unfortunately lives over 500 kilometres from the nearest ocean

anne

Anne Short

is a registered National Guide with over 20 years experience in sub-Saharan Africa. Her special interests include history, our heritage, culture and flora and fauna within a kaleidoscope of countries like Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Botswana, Mozambique and South Africa. She loves her work, has an adventurous spirit and a great sense of humour (we think she needs one working with us!)

a4

 Neil Card

Neil's enthusiasm for the flora and fauna of Africa is infectious and has been with him all his life (a long time!). He loves to share his knowledge with those who have a similar interests. He is a qualified and registered National Field and Tourist Guide. Having lived in South Africa and Namibia he is widely traveled over the southern Africa region. His special interests include, wildlife,  ecology and the outdoors (obviously!)

Two RhinoIf you travel for relaxation, fulfillment, discovery, adventure, eager to learn and experience, if you understand that travelling in smaller groups makes local people and cultures more accessible;

then Inkosi Africa Tours and Safaris is for you.

Inkosi Africa caters especially for those who’ve had enough of mass tourism, who like to go where there are fewer crowds and closer to living reality. It’s about bringing you closer to local cultures and environments. It’s about respecting and benefiting local people and the environment. Traveling with respect earns respect, like following the old country code “take only photographs and leave only footprints”.

buffalo-head Finally

Not many of us can individually do much about Africa’s poverty, bad press, crime rates, corrupt politicians, our social problems or technological failings - however to some extent you can choose whether or not you let these influence your attitude or enjoyment ... rather accept that it's all ‘part of the adventure’ !

Leopard

We want you to fall in love with Africa!

We’re here because we’re passionate about what we do.

We know and love Africa.

Southern Africa is an incredible place to visit with so much to see and do.

You will have the adventure of a life time and more than likely be back for more!
